24 Hour Sewer Line Replacement & Repair

Have you noticed a nasty odor in your basement or yard? Are there patches of unusually healthy sod in your yard? Have you discovered water in your basement? These are all signs that your home may have a sewer line that requires repair or replacement. By not taking quick action, you risk further annoyance and potential damage to your home and property.

What Causes a Sewer Line to Break

Many factors can cause a sewer line to rupture or fail. As pipes age, they corrode and begin to break down. At some point, there will be a rupture, and water will start flowing into your yard, where trees and shrubs will quickly take notice of the nutrient-rich runoff. As they send their roots into the pipe, they can cause backups and further damage. Sewer pipes can also break due to shifting earth.

Fixing a Broken Sewer Line

There are a few methods plumbers take when dealing with broken sewer lines. Our technicians will first examine your lines with a camera snake. This gives us a good idea of the extent of the damage and what method will work best for your situation. Homes that have minor to moderate pipe damage may be candidates for pipe-relining, where we insert an inflatable balloon covered in epoxy that fills any broken sections of your pipe. Pipe bursting is another method that may be effective if your sewer line is not completely destroyed. This involves threading a new pipe through your existing line, destroying the old pipe in the process. If your line is too damaged, you may need to have a more expensive and invasive method of trenching your yard to lay a new line.
