24 Hour Drain Snaking

Have you noticed slow-draining or backed-up sinks? When you shower, are you standing in a few inches of water? If so, you may need to have your pipes snaked by a professional plumber. Drain snaking is a relatively inexpensive and straightforward way to get your water flowing correctly again.

What is Drain Snaking?

A drain snake is an extendable tool that allows a plumbing professional to get to the source of a clog and remove the material blocking the pipe. When snaking a drain, a plumber will extend a cord with an auger on the end of it down your pipe until it reaches the source of the blockage. The auger will then be twisted, removing any debris that is blocking your lines.

Can I Snake My Drain or Use Chemicals

While homeowners may be able to clear a simple clog themselves, it’s often better to let the pros handle moderate to severe blockages. These are clogs that chemicals typically will not fix and may require more professional equipment. Snaking your own drain may make your problem worse if you do not know what you are doing. We have been called to many homes where the blockage has been increased, or pipes were damaged by someone inexperienced with a drain snake. When in doubt, let the pros come out.
